LIVE IN WOOD - A
CONCEPT & ARCHITECTURE
The primary idea of such type of building came trying to create a Norwegian mountain cabin. To such house in mountains every square metre is highly important, so here came a clear task - a house using minimum amount of a space but able to fit all the needs conveniently. Therefore, series of live in wood came as a solution for people, who are looking for a sustainable way of living for relatively cheap price not only in building cost but also in a plot of land. This space of 80 sqm satisfies all basic needs for a living space and even more. There is a living room with a kitchen, three separate bedrooms, a bathroom, a warehouse and even a spacious terrace to enjoy the weather outside.
Another advantage of live in wood is diversity. It is a series of housing (consisting of four different designs as I mentioned before), which are easy to adapt to a specific location and needs. It could become a summer house, a cabin in mountains, student housing, camping house and similar. The architect had an idea that LIW could also become a floating house somewhere on the shore of a lake for instance in Sweden or in canals of Netherlands.
